لفظ ”نظم“ یا ”ضبط“ اس قدر اہمیت کا حامل ہے کہ ہر کہیں اس کی موجودگی محسوس ہوتی ہے۔ جہاں پر نظم و ضبط  نہیں وہاں افراتفری اور غلط نتائج ہی نظر آئیں گے۔ دنیا کا ہر کام کسی نہ کسی ضابطے یا قاعدے (اصول)  کے تحت ہوتا ہے۔ سورج کا نکلنا‘ اس کا غروب ہونا‘ زمین کاگھومنا‘ اور رات دن کا پیدا ہونا۔۔۔۔ان سب کے لئے ایک وقت مقرر ہے۔ 

ان میں سے کوئی عمل اپنے وقت مقررہ سے ایک سکینڈ بھی ادھر ادھر نہیں ہوسکتا۔ یہ سب کسی قانون کی بدولت ہے۔انسان، حیوانات  اور پودے بھی ایک خاص قاعدے کے مطابق  ہیں۔ کائنات کی ہر چیز کے لئے کوئی قاعدہ  قانون مقرر ہے ۔

اسلام ایک مکمل نظام حیات (ضابطہ ءحیات)  پیش کرتا ہے جس پر عمل کرکے قانون کے تحت زندگی بسر کرسکتے ہیں ۔اگر ہم معاشرے میں رہتے ہوئے کسی قانون اور ضابطے کا خیال نہیں کرتے تو اپنے لئے بھی اور دوسروں کے لئے بھی تکلیف کی وجہ  بنتے ہیں۔ ایک ٹیم کو لے لیجیے‘ ٹیم کے کھلاڑی اگر  پورے نظم و ضبط سے کام نہیں لیتے تو ٹیم کی ہاریقینی ہوگی۔

اور ٹیم بدنامی کی وجہ بنے گی۔ تاریخ گواہ  ہے کہ ایسے لوگوں کا نام و نشان باقی نہیں رہتا جو نظم و ضبط کو اپنا تے  نہیں ۔

کسی قوم کی ترقی کا انحصار نظم و ضبط پر ہے۔  نظم و ضبط سے شخصیت میں نکھار پیدا ہوتا ہے، اور انسان اپنی خواہشات کو قابو کرنا سیکھ جاتا ہے۔
